D'Addario Acoustic Guitar Humidifiers

The number one cause of major guitar repairs is lack of humidification. Humidifying your guitar is an essential step in maintaining your instrument. The best selling D'Addario Acoustic Guitar Humidifier makes it easy to properly and safely humidify your guitar. The Humidifier hangs safely in the sound hole suspend by the instruments strings so it never touches the body of the instrument. Simply moisten the sponge, install and that's it. The humidifier releases the moisture slowly and evenly keeping your guitar perfectly humidified. When the sponge becomes completely dry, moisten it again and insert back into the soundhole.

D'Addario is known for innovative, problem-solving, quality musical accessories and offers a complete line of award-winning accessories including cables, picks, tuners, capos, straps, humidifiers, maintenance tools and more.

Does the job!!!
You have to stay in allert in order to refill with water often, but it does the job... No problems on my acoustic!! It keeps the humidity in a right level (I suffer from low humidity, above 30%) and the setup remains

Does the job
An improvement over the older design which had a permanent sponge. Does a good job but ideally the guitar should be in a climate control room so all the guitar is exposed to the proper humidity but this is ideal for those that haven't that option.
ProsWell made with a removable sponge.

Good product
As a poor college student, I really just needed something that did the job. This works perfectly fine for the time being. Small, portable, and easy to use.

Good Idea but sponge gets moldy
I bought one of these a few months ago to protect my favorite guitar from low-humidity conditions. The humidifier slides in between the strings of the guitar, which puts the damp sponge inside the guitar, where it will do the most good at keeping the wood from drying out. I use only distilled water to moisten the sponge. After a month or so, an ugly black mold started growing on the sponge, covering almost half of the surface of the sponge. My instructor told me not to use it anymore as it might adversely affect the wood. So I took it out and now I am looking for something better.
ProsGood design, puts damp sponge inside (but not touching the wood) of the guitar. Good design earned it two stars instead of one.
ConsThe sponge got half covered with ugly black mold so I had to stop using the humidifier and by something else.

Acoustic Guitar Humidifier " good Value"
This Humidifier is good value and works well If properly installed between the strings ( It will not pop out) and the guitar must be keep in the case with the unit in other wise you are wasting your time and money!!!!
The devil is in the details!!!!!

Not so good
The price gspoint is great and the simplicity of the design is interesting, but it not very good at all. When placed between strings, the unit spreads the strings apart way too much...and it pops out too easily if gently placed - you really need to push it in for it to hold. They could have made it much thinner and still have kept it secure. I keep the guitar hanging on a wall, and thought this would be perfect, but tis pretty useless. Might be okay if thrown in a case.
