Resophonic Guitar Strings 16-56
I had a hard time finding these stings in Nova Scotia for the Reso guitar. They are by far the best sounding strings I have used in 12 years. They don't last very long but the price point allows for me not to care as much. Elixer Reso's are over 20 bucks locally and usually the only option. Thanks for having such a huge stock. I will be a return customer for sure

Impressive Sound and Feel
Martin monel have been my go-to strings for about as long as they have been available. The d'Addario NB strings are similar in that they allow the sound of the guitar to come through without the added nuance that is present with phosphor/bronze strings. If you like that colorization of the tone, you may not like the NBs. The Martin Monels are long-lasting. I have only played the NBs for a short time and so I can't attest to their longevity. I will say that I prefer the feel of the NBs. perhaps it is due to the core wire that d'Addario uses.
ProsThey let the guitar speak for itself. Good sound and feel.

best strings yet
I got these as a beta tester and was impressed. They sound almost as crisp as the EJs but actually last (much) longer than EXPs. Best of both worlds, will definitely use them now.
Pros1) Great sound. 2) Last long. 3) Keep fingers clean.
ConsNone!

Great variation
These sure give a different, somehow more authentic(?) sound. They hold their tune well and are nicely balanced. They play nice and soft so next time I might use mediums not lights. I wouldn't put these on both my performance guitars, simply so I can use the difference in tone.
ProsSound and feel.
ConsIf using the same gauge as phosphor/bronze, some adjustment to the guitar may be required since they do play quite softly.

What a nice surprise!!
I must admit, I was skeptical and didn't have a lot of faith that these strings could deliver on sound, but I was dead wrong. I am traditionally a phosphor bronze guy, so any nickel bronze string was NOT suppose to sound this good!! I had tried the Martin Monel strings and was not impressed with them -- too bright and metallic sounding for my taste. Not so here, right out the package they made my Gibson NSJ jump out and come alive with a very balanced sound. Lot's of that low end bass sound that my jumbo is known for, but it also the highs were distinct and clear. I've only had them on for 3 days, so I can't speak about there longevity, but I suspect they will last as long as any other non-coated string. I think these strings will find their way to other guitars shortly!!!
ProsA fresh balanced sound Sealed package D'addario includes list the tension of each string

Not just acoustic.
If you like these strings on your acoustic try them on a Les Paul. I did this on a whim with the 12-53 set. Dropped the 53 and added an 8 for the first string making it 8-45. They sound great; very rich and mellow, and the action is superb. I don't think they'll replace Pyramid flats but it's a pretty close race.
ProsGreat sound on electrics as well as acoustic - full spectrum, easy on the fingees.

Best strings
I have been chosen to beta test these strings and have them on my guitar since december. These strings sound better than anything I have ever tried. Tuning stability is unbelievable, retuned my guitar twice since December.

Great strings!
I'm always trying to find the best strings for my all carbon fiber Rainsong, and I'm really impressed by these strings. I use D'Addario on my hardbody electrics (NYXL) and half-rounds on my archtops, so I'm really happy that I've found great acoustic strings.
ProsGREAT bass response, as well as mids and highs. Fine selection of gauges (I'm currently using the 11's)
ConsWish they were lower in price.

Above expectations!
D'Addario let me try a beta set but they didn't say if they were a light or regular gauge so I can't comment on that, but they were perfect on my Larrivee and after a week I took them off and reinstalled them on my Ovation. On both guitars the clarity was incredible and the tuning stability was the best I've encountered from any string I've tried, and I've tried just about all brands out there. The tone takes a bit of getting used to because they are so different from any other but after a day or so you will be listening for the subtle tones that just were not there before. I've had them on the Ovation for about six weeks now and although they haven't been played until the other day, they were still tuned perfectly. These stings allow you to focus on playing and not how they feel or how they sound. I really like these Nickle Bronze as they are called now (they didn't have a name when I received them). They are the perfect string but the only deterrent for me is the price. If you are used to paying Elixer prices then it won't be such a shock but for D'Addarios, it may take a little longer to get used to paying the extra. Hopefully they will reconsider and give us a break on the price, then It would be Nickle Bronze forever! The best so far IMO!
ProsTone Tuning stability Feel.... not too stiff, not too flexible. Smooth finish...very comfortable
ConsPrice compared to other non-coated strings

Awesome tone
Got to use my player points to get a light and medium set direct from D'addario. Put lights on an OM, and mediums on a Dreadnought. Incredible tone. A must try for everyone!
