Not bad, but better alternatives out there...

Strings themselves aren't bad, but I think Martin's silk and phosphor options are just as good, cheaper, and has airtight packing to help strings last longer
Cons
- Price
- Short string life
- No airtight packaging

Great for older players

I have been playing a long time and I was looking for some acoustic strings that would be easier on my old hands. I tried several brands of silk and steel but was never really satisfied with the tone until I tried these. They really fit the bill for me, they sound great, easy on the hands, and last a long time. Give 'em a try, you'll be pleased!
Pros
- Great strings!
Cons
- none

Sweet, warm and natural sound
June 13, 2018
I play guitar for a living and since trying a set of the 510L's on my Blueridge BR43 (Martin knockoff) I haven't even bothered with any other set of strings. These in combination with changing out the nut, saddle and bridge pins for TUSQ have made this guitar sound nicer to me than most actual Martins I've played. Has a really warm and inviting tone, like your favourite couch or something.
These have all the best qualities of PB strings but without any of that nasty brash harshness you get before they wear in. They sound smooth, natural and musical straight out of the packet, and they last for ages.
People will often comment these days that my guitar has a sweet or beautiful tone to it, and these strings are definitely a big part of that.

Great strings for Folk and everthing else
April 12, 2012
These are great strings, they have a nice warm, almost rustic sound that really brings out the bulk of your guitar's sound. The only problem with them is that I use altered tunings a lot, and these strings broke rather quickly after switching back and forth a few times. Good string for everything else though.
