Item Description

Shubb Standard Capo for Nylon String Guitar (flat, wide fretboard) - C2 Polished Nickel

Shubb standard C-series capos now have the design features formerly available only on deluxe models!

When the Shubb capo was first introduced more than 30 years ago guitarists throughout the world fell in love with it. They're still in love with it today. There's been a few tweaks through the years, but its basic mechanical principle remains the same: a unique over-center locking mechanism that provides an unrivalled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in place, and removes it just as quickly.

And the Shubb capo is BY FAR the best at not creating tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary!

This year the standard line of capos received its biggest tweak yet: upgrades to the most popular models - the "C" series nickel plated capos - to include the design features formerly available only on our deluxe, stainless steel models. And the price remains the same!

Exciting new upgrade ... same old price.

When we say that the roller provides superior geometry, we really mean it.

Capos continue to come and go, but the fact remains for the guitarist who is serious about quality and intonation...nothing but a Shubb will do!

Best quality capo I've used!

The Shubb capos are the best quality out there for the price. They are adjustable so you can dial in the right tension. They feel solid and like a fine machine when using them, not just like a tight clamp you're releasing on your guitar. Bonus that the rubber parts on this capo are replaceable so when they get worn, you don't have to replace the capo like you would with others. I use Shubb on all my different guitars. Highly recommend.
ProsReplaceable parts that wear over time. High quality. Smooth operation. Adjustable tension.
ConsCan't clamp it onto headstock (which doesn't really bother me for my uses)

It's good not having any spring.

The rubber doesn't loose or cracks.

It's the better capo I've ever tried.
ProsThe rubber doesn't loose or cracks.
ConsNone (if you buy the right one)
