Item Description

Shubb C4 Standard Shubb Capo in polished nickel finish.  The choice of millions of musicians worldwide, now upgraded to feature the roller design and contoured lever.

The Shubb capo 4 models are made to fit a fretboard radius of approximately 7.25 inches. The model 4 was created specifically for some models of Fender Telecaster and Stratocaster, and copies of these guitars, that have a more radical curve to the fretboard. Fits some (but not most) vintage electrics. Precisely machined of brass and carefully hand assembled, a Shubb capo is manufactured without compromise. Simply holding one in your hand conveys a sense of quality. Snapping it solidly onto a guitar neck, and then removing it, all within about one second, will confirm its reputation for excellence. What makes the Shubb capo so special? For one thing, its ingenious design: a patented locking action which provides an unrivalled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in place... and removes it just as quickly. And the Shubb capo doesn't create tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary!

C4 Shubb Capo for 7.25" fretboard radius. Fits certain vintage electrics, but most electric guitars do NOT have this extreme radius.

Precise control of string pressure
April 12, 2022
I bought this capo based on otherís opinion. Itís well made and unobtrusive on the neck.
I think itís strength is that you can precisely control how much pressure is applied so no buzzing or tuning issues. The only potential downside is that you canít move it quickly mid song (if you need that).
  • Precise pressure control.
  • Can't do quick adjustment.
  • Made in China.

i've used G7th capos for years. it wasn't until i bought this one that i realized the radius difference in capos. these are perfect for the smaller radius's of electrics.
i bought the highly polished nickle finish, it's mirror perfect.
i'll continue to use G7th's for my acoustics but will pick up a few more of these for electrics.
  • fit on neck, ease of use, finish, design.
  • none
