Item Description

The NS Tri-Action capo in black assures buzz-free, in-tune performance at any fret. The patent-pending Tri-Action geometry reduces the force required to open and close the capo and applies even tension regardless of neck profile. Combined with the micrometer tension adjustment and direct horizontal pressure, the Tri-Action Capo virtually eliminates pulling the strings side to side and the need to retune during use. Additionally, the lightweight aluminum construction adds negligible weight to the neck of the instrument.

The capo features an integrated pick holder and is a Ned Steinberger design.

  • Designed for acoustic and electric guitars with radiused fretboards
  • Micrometer tension adjustment assures buzz-free in-tune performance at every fret
  • Single hand, easy to operate Tri-Action Geometry; clamps to the headstock when not in use
  • Aircraft grade aluminum construction
  • Designed for 6-string electric and acoustic guitars

Best clamp on/off style capo
I've used the spring/clamp style capo before but lost it. I like them for the ease of putting on or off with the exception that they may not grip correctly meaning you can go out of tune. This one solves the problem with the adjustable screw/knob.
ProsAdjustable Applies Correct pressure Works on various neck shape sizes Ease of use
ConsNone so far

One of the best capos I've come across
Everything you need from a great capo for a very competitive price. Trigger makes very easy to operate, adjustable tension makes it far easier to keep strings in tune. The pick holder is an excellent design feature, though perhaps a little week in it's execution (mine broke off while pulling out a pick).
ProsGreat value Adjustable tension Easy to operate
ConsPick holder slightly fragile

Best Capo Going for Acoustic 6-String!
I have tried many capos in pretty much all price ranges, and I've settled on this one (I've given all my other capos away!) It's basic, straightforward, easy to use, and very dependable. I love this capo%u2026 and I just ordered another one! Highly recommended.
Pros* Easy to get on and off the instrument. * Easy on the guitar, does not mar the neck. * The tension adjuster works very well, and when used properly ensures proper intonation.
Cons* None - This is the best capo going!

Best easy-on capo for live playing
I MUCH prefer this capo over the Kyser because it has adjustable tension and is just as easy to put on and take off. Intonation is good with the capo on, and I don't have to worry about retuning. This is the capo to get for a 6 string (doesn't have adequate tension for a 12 string) especially for playing live, especially if the set requires a lot of taking on and off. You won't miss a beat (pardon the expression)!
ProsVery easy to put on and take off. Especially beneficial in a live-playing situation Maintains intonation well Clamps on the headstock when not in use
ConsDoesn't work on a 12 string, but it's probably not designed to do that
