Hard to beat, of this string type.

I've never found a silk & steel set that lasted very long - two weeks, I suppose. I like these because they're loud, they're warm, but not dull... they stay in tune GREAT. I'm using them on a 000-28 Martin, for some fingerstyle pieces I hope to record soon (then back to phosphor bronze!)
But for certain classical-esque tunes, and some Beatles arrangements - these 12 - 56 silk & steel pack a good punch, and come at a fair price. I hope other string mfgrs will start making a heftier gauge than those 11 - 49 "light gauge" sets you see all the time. Love these LaBellas. No gripes!

I have been using these strings on my acoustic guitars for quite some time now and love them on my Seagul and Art and Lutherie.
Pros
- Easy on the fingers and transmit nicely through the saddle...
