Works well...
December 17, 2020
I have been using this pickup for several months. Works better than the one I used earlier (which sticks on the instrument with white gooey stuff). This one has much more gain (I no longer need to use a pre-amp), but also does not feed back as much as the other one did. It also has better tone. I was told there was no good solution to amplify a classical guitar but have been pleasantly surprised by this device.
ProsGood gain, full tone, little feedback, reasonable price.
ConsThe cord comes unplugged easily if you aren't careful...

Excellent natural sound!
June 10, 2019
This pickup is terrific if you're looking for a natural warm nylon string sound. It can be used straight into a guitar amp for a pretty good sound but is even better if you use a good preamp into an "acoustic amp" or PA. The sound is so much more pleasing than undersaddle piezos - no "quack" and a very even response.
It is a bit delicate, so if you're the type who bangs their gear around, you're going to break this pickup. But if you baby your gear (like me), you should get long and satisfying use from it. They're so inexpensive and sound so good, I'll probably buy a spare anyway.
Installation is dirt-simple; just loosen the strings till they're totally slack, then slide the pickup under the loops at the tie bar. Make sure the pickup is under all the loops and lying flat on the tie bar, then retune. You're done.
I've been trying for years to get an amplified sound I like out of a nylon string guitar without having to hack up the guitar somehow. This little thing does it!
ProsExcellent sound with multiple "delivery options": guitar amp, PA, etc. Easy installation and removal. Absolutely no need to modify your guitar. Unobtrusive appearance, blends right in with the guitar. Very reasonable price. Good resistance to feedback.
ConsEasily broken if you aren't careful. Easy to step on the cable and pull out the plug if you aren't careful. Possibly addictive.

Easy as Pie
August 3, 2016
The Piezo pickup is easy as "pie" to install. Sound quality is great. Great for that special classic axe you just can't bear to drill a hole in.
ProsEasy to install Great tonal quality
ConsA bit fragile. Exercise care when putting guitar back in case.
