Bass, Bass, Bass
If you need to use a pick sometimes for aggressive rock bass playing, this rounded triangle .88 will provide a warm growl with plenty of area to keep your grip. There is just a small amout of flex for a normal 45-105 set of strings.
ProsGood grip from the pick's surface texture

Dunlop Ultrex Rounded Triangle guitar picks
These are great picks for the money. I like to round off the tip and file a bevel on each of the 3 tips. After modifying them, I think they make a great bluegrass pick. The fact that they come in many different thickness is a plus for dialing in the right pick for your preference.

Dunlop Ultex 1.0mm triangle picks
I wanted to try a different type of pick for my basses. I use dunlop tortex 1.0 and 1.14mm picks. These ultex picks feel lighter than the tortex. Seem to last just as long as the tortex, maybe a little longer. I prefer the 'grip' of the tortex over the ultex.
ProsLight feel, durability.

Great all around pick
I play a combination of melody and rhythm mostly in a celtic group. I play an old Guild F48 6 string and a newish Taylor 12 string and more recently an Irish tenor banjo. I have tried all sorts of different picks and have never been satisfied until I tried these. I like a pick with some flexibility for the fast strum of jigs and reels, but really hate the muffled sound of the soft plastic picks. I mostly use a 0.73 mm for guitar and a 0.60 mm for banjo. They give me the drive that I need with fast strums and crisp notes with melody. I have tried other picks with similar characteristics, but they tend to break just as I get into the first reel of a Cape Breton set. I have been using these for several months now and have not broken a pick. This is now my standard flat pick.
Prosflexible, hard plastic gives crisp sound. Unlike many hard plastic picks these seem to be very resistant to breakage.
