there's a "cult of jazz iii" for a reason
dunlop jazz iii's are one of my go to picks. their smaller size and sharp point make them an excellent choice for playing faster single note parts.the red nylon iii's have a slightly tacky texture which helps with gripping them. highly recommended!
Prosincreased accuracy & speed
Consprobably not the most ideal if you're playing mostly strummed rhythms parts.

Small for acoustic players
A bit too small for my liking as an AG player, I think i still prefer the JP version of the Jazz III for its slightly larger size.

Try it and you'll love it
This pick is just a must-have if you want to improve your string attack. You'll probably need a couple of hours to get used to its size but it's worth it.
It's not a single style pick, you really can use it to play any genre, whether you're shredding, smashing power chords or using chicken picking techniques. The thickness is just what I was looking for.

The Jazz Pick Standard
These really are great picks- the standard jazz pick in my eyes. If it weren't for the impeccable Eric Johnson versions, I'd be going through both the black and red 1.38s like mad.
ProsGreat feel, precise, fast, great shape
ConsCan get slippery

It's worth the effort to get used to the small size. These picks along with the Max Grip and Eric Johnson versions of the Jazz III's all produce their own distinct type of tone. See the Max Grip review for more info. Bottom line...excellent pick.
