Item Description

Ernie Ball Super Lock strap locks are a serious piece of hardware you can rely on to keep a firm grip on your guitar. These steel-plated locks keep your strap securely in place while still allowing 360-degree movement. They disconnect with a quick release system that features two buttons, so you have to use two fingers and fully depress the buttons to unhook the strap. In other words, they won’t come off by accident, no matter how hard you’re rocking your solo. The Super Locks provide enough room to accommodate even thick leather straps. Ernie Ball Super Locks come in sets of two in your choice of nickel, gold or black colors.

For installation on your guitar, the pilot hole size is 7/64 inch in diameter and the depth is 1.5 inches.

With everything Strings and Beyond sells, you can count on our 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. Our goal is to provide the best customer service and the best prices on guitar strings and everything else you need for your guitar.

As far as strap locks go, I've used just about all of em. Dunlop, D'addario, Schaller, Levy's, etc. These Ernie ball locks are what is on every single guitar I own now. Solid build, nice finish, very simple to install, the mechanism is very convenient because it's an easy quick connect/disconnect like a Dunlop strap lock only you don't have to worry about accidentally bumping into something and nudging the button, since there are two buttons on the side of the mechanism you must squeeze. Much safer. On top of all that, because of the way the buttons are designed, if for whatever reason you need to, you can still get a non-locking strap onto the guitar. Levy's strap locks are pretty much the same design and feel slightly more robust, but then the trade off is they stick out so far that they're just plain ugly. Schaller S-Locks are over engineered in my opinion, and stick out too far once again.
Pros
  • -Superior locking mechanism design
  • -Solid build, easy installation
  • -Low profile compared to other strap locks on the market
  • -Can fit a normal, non locking strap on the button still
Cons
  • -A little expensive, but still worth it
  • -Ernie Ball logo on the end of the locks looks kind of cheesy. Wish they'd change this, but it's not a big deal to me.
