Item Description

A unique combination of crisp highs, aggressive mids, and a focused low end gives Dunlop Electric Guitar Strings a voice all their own. The Dunlop recipe for string-to-string balance and responsiveness produces string sets that are perfect for dynamic lead work, while notes in a chord ring out clearly whether clean or heavily distorted.

This powerful voice is delivered in a low tension string with a smooth tactile feel that breaks in fast and lasts a long time.

My brand of choice !
I've using this strings for years now, I use them on several gauges for std and drop tuning and they all worked just fine.
Compared with EBs, DRs, D'Darios, Elixir, Fender, Dunlop is definitely my choice
I play from pop rock to new metal and they serve the purpose.
ProsLow cost Very nice tone Low tension Smooth feel

Did okay, used 10-52 set
The tone is good, comparable to D'addario's and Ernie Balls. The package unfortunately, is not sealed. It is just a cardboard box and the strings are in paper envelopes. Then again, DR strings do the same thing, and DR strings are the best strings I've ever played.

The wound strings went completely dead after 2 days. When I say "completely dead", I mean no zing or brightness at all when played unplugged, or plugged with heavy distortion. They sounded like flat wounds. This may be a plus for some players tonal preferences, however. This is not an oddity, as I have played their heavy core set before, and the same thing happened with those.
I played them for about 2 weeks, and the plain steel strings held up pretty well, though. Just slight discoloration and drop in tone.

Very nice strings
I tried a set of Dunlop 10s recently, and really enjoyed using these strings. They have a great feel and very nice tone. They're very well made strings, and the packaging is probably the best in the string industry. I'd definitely use these again.

WOW!!! I thought Rev. Willy's strings sounded good!! These have awesome tone, and have a great feel on your fingertips. Full, warm and thick clean and overdriven notes and chords. These are definetely being used from now on!!
