Never tried stuff like this before. But I bought it and was very surprised, because this bottle can repair your not very old (not older than 6 month) strings! If you clean the strings after each time you play, you can literally play on fresh strings any time. Will buy one more when my bottle is finished.
  • Really clean the strings.
  • I am using this stuff for a year now and there is some fluid left in the bottle anyway (~25%)
  • Cloth of the applicator fell off since some time (6 month). Since then, I am using this stuff like this: put some fluid on a cloth and wipe-off the strings.

At first i honestly just bought this because of the nice applicator bottle. Dunlop make great picks, pedals and strings so why not at least give it a try. The big reason I needed this was working on guitars you can tell who takes care of their guitars and who doesn't and this seemed a better choice than using that famous blue bottle of glass cleaner every time. All in all this does a much better job than what I was using. This works best on non-coated strings such as Dunlop, D'Addario and Ernie Ball. Elixir to get my point across or cleartone this will just clean the grime off the strings.

You get this slippery feel hence the name. It takes two seconds to do and whether i'm cleaning disgusting strings that have never been wiped down or just trying to add some extra life to a pack of strings that is only a few weeks old this does the trick. Now this won't bring a 3-6 month old set you've had on that gibson les paul custom back to life especially if there are indentations in the frets but something moderately used this comes in handy. It's small enough to put in a case or gigbag and the result is instant.Just wipe a bit on like one or two glides across and immediately wipe it down and it's time to rock. They claim it prevents strings rusting too so honestly what's not to love. Whether its a guitar that just got new strings or it's been a few weeks this is a great thing to apply. I did notice more life applying this to the strings in terms of newness but at the end of the day be realistic.
  • convenient size
  • very easy to use
  • instant results
  • more slippery strings
