Item Description

We love their strings. Great tone and long lasting! - Darius Rucker

D’Addario EJ Phosphor Bronze acoustic guitar strings are D’Addario’s most popular choice for acoustic guitar. Buy a 10-pack of D’Addario EJ acoustic guitar strings at Strings and Beyond’s discount pricing and they’re an even greater bargain. With a 10-pack, you’ll have a fresh set of strings on hand when you need them.

D’Addario uses hexagonal core wires and precisely wraps them using computer-controlled manufacturing methods for incomparable consistency and clear intonation. D’Addario invented the phosphor bronze string in 1974 and these EJ strings are the current generation, offering a warm and balanced tone with bright intonation and a round-wound feel. Choose from sets in six different gauges to fit your style and bring out the best in your instrument.

For an even longer-lasting alternative, see the line of D’Addario EXP strings, which are coated to protect them from corrosion and retain that fresh sound even longer.

D'Addario has incorporated Corrosion Intercept Technology with their environmentally friendly packaging to insure your strings are green, and fresh for the pickin'!

The application of Corrosion Intercept Technology, developed by Lucent Technologies' Bell Labs, is the most significant development in string packaging since D'Addario pioneered the environmental string package in 1992. Each Corrosion Intercept bag employs a plastic which contains a gas-neutralizing barrier in the polymer matrix. This barrier reacts with and neutralizes gasses which cause materials to tarnish, guaranteeing that your D'Addario strings are as fresh and tarnish-free as the day we packaged them. Since Corrosion Intercept bags are both environmentally friendly and completely recyclable, they'll keep our planet untarnished as well.

Also, as a result of D'Addario's Player's Points Program, several tons of packaging redeemed for D'Addario gear gets systematically recycled every year.

All D'Addario packaging is either produced from recycled materials or is completely recyclable.

Al Schnier of Moe talks about D'Addario's environmentally friendly packaging.

Really nice strings
Haven't played on a non-coated string in years and was pleasantly surprised by the durability and overall tonal quality of these strings. Working in a salty-water atmosphere, these strings kept their integrity when others have failed. All in all, really nice strings.

The ultimate choice
You won't find any dissenters here. If someone orders a 10-pack of strings then they're converted and committed. After the long search and many guitar string brands bought and assessed, it's almost comforting to add a 10-pack of these strings to the cart. You could save lots of time and money by just going straight to D'Addario Phosphor Bronze acoustic guitar strings, because this is where you'll ultimately end up. But maybe we all have to go through that process to feel good about our choices. When you're ready for excellent strings with consistent quality, the rest of us will be waiting and welcoming.

The best way to buy strings.
I own several guitars and I like to have fresh strings on most of them. The EJ16's sound great on everything from my parlor to my dreadnoughts.
ProsCrisp highs and great low-end. They last twice as long as other (uncoated) strings and they sound much better than any other. The price can't be beat.

Ten packs save me a lot of money at my shop and being individually packaged I can be assured they will last if they go unused.

awesome deal on great strings
Incredibly consistent pack-to-pack, these never fail to impress me. Great balanced overall tone, good feel and decent volume. A little on the brighter side compared to other brands, will help waken up and add sparkle to your dull sounding old clunker or bring out the best in your prized Taylor. With the discount on the 10-pack and free shipping the deal is too good.

Wow, my favorate strings at a great price and t shirt to boot
I do not play on any other strings. Found a couple of deals that saved a dollar or two; but the T shirt sealed the deal at Strings and Beyond.
ProsGreat strings and a T shirt to boot.
ConsWhat's not to like?

D'Addario EJ17 Phosphor Bronze Strings
I love to experiment with different types of strings, yet I always come back to these D'Addario PBs. They provide great warm tone without sacrificing clarity and crispness, and they last for an average of six - eight weeks of daily play before they require changing.

This manufacturer must have some tight quality control, because in 42 years of playing guitar, I have not received more than two or three duds in all those packages purchased through the years. That's a pretty good track record! They are consistently high quality and high toned. You've got to love them.
