Tops as far as coated strings go
Okay, you may want to process this review with a grain of salt as I'm not a big fan of coated strings. Saying that, i have tried quite a few before settling on this opinion. I may be a little biased here, but I'm already a big fan of the Rotosound Jumbo Kings and these are basically just those with a coating on them. The tone is quite full and balanced, lots of bottom end but not muddled in the mids. As I've found with 95% of coated strings I've tried, though, these quickly lose their brightness after a day or two. All strings are going to lose that new "jangle" after a few hours to a few days...... but good quality strings will retain their tonal qualities for many weeks if not longer. The Jumbo Kings exhibit this well. Curt Mangan's are tops in this regard. But the coating on these (as well as most other coated ones I've tried), dull the brightness and high-mids as time goes on. I enjoyed these for about two weeks and then was ready to replace them. If you like coated strings, though, these are definitely better than most.
ProsGreat tone across the frequency range.
Very easy on the fingers.
Lots of bottom end on the E and A strings.
ConsDull sound after a few weeks.
