Very fine, underrated strings
I know lots of people say this..... but I truly have tried pretty much every string out there currently being made. These are very much underrated as I don't see or hear much about them and I think the overall tone and balance is far superior to the other big names that have been out there for years and years like Dean Markley, D'addario, GHS, Ernie Ball. I've played a couple sets of 12's on my Seagull S.W.S. and what really struck me right away is the fullness across all frequencies. There's a lot of bass coming out of the E and A strings and yet they do not overpower the higher notes at all when playing chords and harmonic phrases. The "jingle" wears out pretty quickly after a few hours of play, but those mid-high frequencies don't fade. I'm in the habit of changing my strings monthly, so I cannot say how long they would last before the average player would be dissatisfied..... but after about a month, these still sound fairly bright and full!
ProsFull, balanced tone.
Fairly bright, but lots of bass in the lower strings too.
