Underimpressed
May 26, 2019
Tried these on my Kremona Solea. Meh. The trebles are not particularly pleasant sounding , and I am under-impressed with the intonation. I am a fan for carbon trebles, because of their better intonation and because they tend to cure the "foggy G" , and I tend not to mind the bit of shrillness of the carbon trebles. But I am not sure this titanium concept is working at all.

Overall I find this particular set is not up to par even with other inexpensive strings, e.g.: Galli carbonios, and in no way comparable to higher-end strings in their accuracy of intonation, or fullness of sound. Compared to Knobloch-s for example they are noticeably weaker and tinny-sounding. I am probably ditching them prematurely in a day or two.

I seem to recall, a friend tried these in their earlier, non-titanium but carbon incarnation, and back then I thought they were pretty OK for the money, comparable to Luthier's. Now I think the luthier's are better.
