Love it so far
I just bought this pickup and absolutely love it! I was the last of 5 band members to get a pickup after our brief run with the single mic style tree set up, so I was being overpowered by everyone else while trying to play into a mic. We've played two shows with it so far, and I've had no problems.
I did read other reviews of folks who claim to have had feedback issues, but I have had none. Just for fun, I plugged in to my guitar amp and wailed away with some effects and still, no feedback.
My luthier offered to install it when I bought it, so I can't say how easy it is to do so. But unless you know exactly how and where to set your sound post, I recommend having someone do it for you.
Since it is an 1/8" jack, and the cable it comes with is pretty short, I bought a 25 ft extension cable. Also, I have not had to use a pre amp, but my input on our PA was turned up almost all the way. I will be getting one before our next gig.
