The 0760M set was used on virtually ever Motown gold record in the 1960's. Donald "Duck" Dunn used the same strings on countless recordings with Otis Redding and Booker T. & the MG's. They're the fullest and deepest sounding bass strings ever made.

Set 0760M 4-String .052 .073 .095 .110

Stainless Steel Flat Wound strings constructed with thick cores to produce full, deep, vintage tone

Tension: Heavy

String Gauges: .052, .073, .095, .110

Standard Long Scale Set

Made in the USA with American Wire

Packaged using MAP Technology (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) to prevent tarnishing and ensure freshness

All standard bass sets are LONG scale length. The 1st (G), 2nd (D), 3rd (A) strings are 38 from ball-end to silk/taper. The 4th (E) string is 36 from ball-end to silk/taper. Wonderful string set indeed for doom metal and drop tuning. After switching from round wound and playing this for the first time, I already felt the dark tone.

Get These !!!!

I'm a pro player and have many basses. I use these LaBella 760M
I think they are called the "James Jamerson" strings. Anyway I have these on a P Bass, maple neck. Its the best bass sound I've ever had. I also use LaBella Low Tension flats on most of my others. If you love TONE, Absolutely get these !!
  • Great Sound !!!!!
  • Dependable and durable
  • Stay in tune well
  • I would avoid using these on, for instance a Jazz Bass. These are high tension strings and could cause neck problems
  • No problems with my P Bass. I've been using these for years. Its everone's favorite bass !

The Motown Jamerson Sound
June 1, 2016
The one and only strings James Jamerson used on all of those Funk Brother's Motown hits! Featured on more #1 singles than The Beatles, Elvis & The Beach Boys combined. If you long for that fat familiar Motown thump, La Bella Original 1954 0760M strings are exactly what you're looking for!!
  • Long lasting, amazing low-end thump
  • Some bass necks & truss rods may not be able to handle the extremely high tension of these strings.
