Really good for shredding
Some friends recommended me this pick because of the grip it has on both sides and the fact that the pick is about the thickness I want in a pick. When I picked it up, I took me a bit of time to adjust because of the size: It's just a bit too small for my hands. I kept hitting the strings with my finger because I couldn't hold the pick "higher" because of the small size. Few days later and I was used to it but I would still find myself going back to normal Tortex Picks.
ProsGood grip. Strong and has a good thickness. Durable.
ConsToo small for my liking.

Perfect pick
I've been using these on almost every instrument and tune for a couple of years now, after switching from the (Big) Stubby 3mm. I prefer the Max grips for the grip (duh) and the attack and release. The Stubby is more brittle and there is always a slight rebound on the attack (at least the way I play), which I don't get with the nylon - the tip is a similar shape to the Stubby, which enables fast picking and easy string crossing and economy picking. Love them!

Max grip is better pick then original jazz III. I like Jazz III Ultex little better (material feels better in hand and they go over string little easier producing smoother tone) but I waste them for one night. Max grip lasts longer and its a comfy and good sounding pick.

Super Grippy!
This has got to be one of my favourite picks! While I usually go for thinner gauges, the max-grip surface on this Jazz III is much more sturdy and provides more friction that the standard nylon max-grip. Brilliant!

There is no way this one will slip!
If you are looking for a jazz type pick but have sweaty hands like mine, your biggest concern is to lose the pick while playing live. You will have to make an effort to makee this pick slip away like others.
ProsForget about that ackward moments you had when mid playing the pick dropped and so did the mood
ConsAfter a while of playing, the pick kind of "dig in" the skin

The red ones are the best
I have both the red and the black ones, and the red have a much better grip for some reason.
ProsGreat grip on the red ones. 5 stars
ConsBlack ones not so much. 3.5 stars

Decent Jazz 3
I've tried out each of the types of Jazz 3s. This one was interesting, the grip was very noticeable. I used both the red and black ones- preferred the black.
Proslots of grip, pick stayed positionally secure

Max Grip Jazz III picks
Compared to the standard Jazz III picks and the Eric Johnson version of the Jazz III picks, the sound has a less pronounced treble response. Perfect for late night smooth jazz style. If you require a brighter sound try the standard Jazz III's or for the most balanced sound go for the Eric Johnson version. It doesn't make sense because they all look the same, but side by side they are different. I still use all three just so I don't have to choose...they all are very good. After you get used to the small size you won't want to go back to the larger picks again.
