Great for fingerstyle!
I use these thumb picks mostly for finger picking. Occasionally I'll also use them for hand strumming and they work pretty well for that too. I'd suggest a medium gauge if you're more of a beginner to this musical style.

Flat and thumb pick in one
These Herco picks are unique in their versatility. If you need to switch between finger style and flat picking in the same piece, and you find Nashville style awkward, these picks can help. I use them frequently.
ProsVersatile Unique
ConsThey need adjustment if they pinch. The extra heavy is not always heavy enough.

Great for acoustic fingerstyle
Before a while, I've found one of these in a mixture of picks at a local music store. Searching for a new thumbpick, I bought it in heavy gauge. This pick is awesome, really comfortable and easy to get used to. In addition, as a fingerstyle player, the Herco flat thumbpick fits my playing style way better than the normal-shaped thumbpicks. Unfortunately, after a year or so the arc broke apart. I had to find a new one since I couldn't go back to the standard shaped thumbpicks. Surprisingly, I couldn't find it neither locally nor online (well, I could barely find it online, but it was ridiculously high-priced). Eventually, I've came across this site and decided to give it a try and order those picks. The price is great and it was nice to have a couple of shipping options, including a free one. It took 4 days to ship (I ordered before the weekend), and more ten days to arrive. Summing up, it arrived after two weeks from the day I've completed my purchase, which is a decent time considering I live in Israel- mostly, on other sites it takes about a month for purchases to arrive. It came well packed and with another regular pick as a gift. The picks are of high quality, i have relatively big hands and thick fingers and they suit me perfectly. I recommend these to all fingerstyle guitarists- they produce a loud and deep bass sounds, and allow to alternate between fingerpicking to strumming. As I enjoyed the shopping experience I'll definitely use this site again for buying strings and guitar accessories, thumbs up from me :)
Proshigh quality, innovative thumbpick fairly priced fast shipping got a normal pick as a gift
ConsI think the title should say 3/24 thumbpicks. Also, it would be nice to have the pictures change respectively to the option you choose- e.g 3 heavy thumbpicks should have a picture of 3 heavy thumbpicks, not 4 medium thumbpicks. Those are just listing aesthetics, nothing more.

Awesome pick for fingerstyle
These picks are great for those who play fingerstyle like me. You have just to get used to it. I can't go back anymore for the conventional picks.

great concept - needs a little work
I love the concept of this pick because I do mostly fingerstyle but sometimes switch to flat picking in the same song and a traditional thumb pick makes that difficult. So being able to do fingerstyle and then switch to flat picking with a pick made for that style is a good idea. Obviously, though a true thumb pick is best for thumb picking and a flat pick is best for flat picking so a compromise is to be expected. The pick for flat picking feels good. I purchased the medium guage as that is what I like for flat picking. The hardest thing to find in a good thumb pick is one that fits well and this one does not fit well. The curl of the pick is not big enough so it doesn't fully wrap my thumb but instead digs in. And the medium guage is carried over into the thumb wrap and thus feels too light and loose. A loose thumb pick is not going to work. I won't use this pick for everything but will use it for the songs where I absolutely need to do both fingerstyle and flat picking in the same song.
