A 'must have' accessory
If you play a lot, if you have rehearsals with your band, and a lot of gigs. That's a must have thing in your guitar case!

This was my first experience with tools aimed to prolong strings life. I was skeptic as my bass teacher told me that the strings' life would have increased in a trifling way. I must say that the results are satisfying enough to buy again this product

I love fast fret and use it on everything
Fast fret is essential for me as I play constantly (pretty much every Thursday-Sat and very often Sun-Wed) and I have an abundance of very acidic sweat. Fast fret has made a world of difference for me in getting strings to last. I use it both on the fret board when I'm changing strings (just a quick once over to make sure there's no crap building up between frets) and then a quick once over after I'm done a gig.
ProsStrings last longer and play better.
ConsStrings feel pretty slick (which I like, but it's one of the first things people say to me when they use my guitar). That damn fluffy shit gets everywhere so apply it somewhere outside of your home (especially when you get past the halfway mark on the fast fret applicator).

Think it does the job
Well, I use it because I was recommended to by my guitar playing friends, and even then, they are divided about its utility. It does make your guitar cloth dirty when you wipe off the excess, so the extra cloth bundled inside is a nice touch.

Very good tool for strings
I have used this for several years. You can use the same applier stick for years if you occasionally put a couple of drops of mineral oil on it. It took me forever to do research but that is really what is in it anyway. Using it has allowed me to use uncoated strings and yet by cleaning them with fast fret they are coated with very light mineral oil and last longer than with nothing and seem to sound better than standard coated strings. I have had the same applicator stock for six or seven years without repacing it. Just add a couple of drops mineral oil when it dries out.
ProsGood way to extend string life

Great product!
Definitely does a great job of lubing the strings and keeping them clean. I apply before and after playing and this stuff lasts forever!

Not for my taste
It did its work but I didn't like the residue that got stuck on the strings. So every time I cleaned my strings I had to pinch off the small cotton balls that got stuck all over strings - quite annoying. Spray with Tone Gear - The Guitar String Cleaner works for me.
ProsDoes its job
Consleaves small pieces over the strings

May be helpful
This thing just does what it should. Can't say is helps save string life and sound, but it makes playing a bit easier and comfortable.

Decent but I prefer XLR8
This does the job, but I prefer PW XLR8 cleaner/lubricant for few reasons: smaller package, convenient metal can, the applicator is done neater.
