Best Coated String I've Tried
July 25, 2019
Having gone through Elixir's, D'Addario, EB, DR, Martin, and probably a few more, these strings last the longest by far. I was genuinely surprised at the durability of these strings. I really like the Elixir's and had been playing them for years but they started breaking down quickly and breaking at shows. Not sure if my sweat changed or they changed their formula but it was getting very expensive and since I live in a humid area I need a coated string (tried the others and they just don't work). So went my quest for something different. I started trying different brands and they were all close but had the same results (some cheaper than Elixir's, some not). Got a set of these Infinity Bronze to try. The first set lasted through 6 shows (as opposed to the 1 1/2 I was used to with other strings). Never did break them. I have now used about 10 sets as we play a lot during the summer and quite a few outdoor gigs and have yet to break a string. These last longer than any of the other brands I've tried. And they actually sound better on my Gibson J15 than the others. I love love love these strings. They may not work for you but for me they are heaven sent. I'm sold!
ProsGreat tone, long lasting, don't break.
ConsI guess price maybe if you're used to $5 strings
