Finally picks that feel natural and maintain dexterity and agility! Life changer!
I've had long fingernails for classical and finger style for over 15 years. The last 4 years I've been getting them coated in Acrylic to prevent breaking and allow for strumming and hard pick attack. I could never find a finger pick that worked like natural finger nails, they all sacrificed dexterity and or didn't allow strumming. I've tried many brands and these finally allowed me to cut my nails! Such a nice change to have my normal fingers back and still know I can play finger style guitar the way I used to. I found them like when you put shoes on a dog and they walk all funny just because they feel weird. If you just pretend they aren't there you can play with you have your natural nails and they work perfectly.
ProsThe accuracy is amazing and essential. You can strum without them coming loose and they have great tone for both strumming and picking. Basically all aspects are great, so thankful for this design.
ConsCan cut of circulation after awhile but they have to be that tight to allow for accuracy and not coming out of place. It's totally worth any discomfort!

Finally A Good Fingerpick
I have struggled for years to find the right fingerpick. All the finger picks I have used, I needed to remove them if I played any songs the required back hand strumming. With these, you can play a variety of styles. Unlike other fingerpicks these do not feel like I am wearing clothespins. I was concerned about the extra mass on my fingers from using these, I didn't find that to be the case. a few of my guitars have a 1 3/4 neck, No issue at all.
ProsNatural sounding. Even tone when used with my Fred Kelly thumbpicks. comfortable fit.

Totally cool finger pick concept that works!
I've used Dunlop metal finger picks for years. Periodically I try some available option. Alaska, Pro-pics etc were okay but I always went back to Dunlop. Read about these on Acoustic Forum and was delighted to find them at my fave guitar string supplier. These are totally cool! Fit great, very little discomfort - and any that there is off-set by the great pickability and tone these give off. I actually wear them upside down - mimicking the way that my old Dunlops were set up (wrapping from underneath the fingertip). They are usually worn as you see in the ad picture - the top covering your finger nail and 'substituting' for your nail. Easy to file and trim to suit your needs. The tone is great. Eliminates the usual metallic sound of metal picks. Easy to pinch harmonics. A bit pricey but worth it.
ProsGreat alternative to metal finger picks. Great tone. Adaptable. Comfortable.
ConsA bit pricey, but I'm glad I took a flyer on them.

Best fingerpicks ever
I have been playing for over 40 years, and these are definitely the best fingerpicks I have found. They are easy to control, fit well, and can be used both for regular fingerpicking but also for strumming with the backs of the fingers. They have a very natural sound but with good volume. As I have gotten older, my natural nails do not have the durability they once had, and these are the answer. If you are going to use fingerpicks, these are the way to go.
ProsSound natural, attach firmly, and can be used for fingerpicking and strumming with "backs of nails."
ConsNothing.
