Item Description

Using the standard 351 size pick, Everly added a star shaped cutout where your thumb and finger meet, for the perfect no-slip grip. No weird shapes, leashes or sticky goo from planet Xoltar. Just a slight evolution to meet the needs of today's musician. Star picks are available in the six most popular guages, from feather light to rock solid. Let's face it, the only thing more embarassing than accidently dropping your pants on stage is accidently dropping your pick during a solo. Think about it. Picks now feature the Strings and Beyond logo!

Excellent quality
These picks, with their star-shaped grip and thickness (I use the 1mm picks for playing bass), are super easy to keep your grip on, and their durability and thickness works perfectly for playing hard or soft lines on my bass - an awesome product I would recommend to anyone.

A nice modification on the Tortex Standard
These picks are great if you have trouble holding on because of slipperyness. The little punched out center really does help. Other than that difference, these are basically a dunlop tortex pick. They do last/wear well, sound fine. If you already like Dunlop Tortex Standards - just use a hole punch, or drill out the center - you'll get the same results. But, these are a good pick!

Please try these.
The hole in the center of these picks looked like a gimmick. It's not. That hole allows for stability when your hands are sweaty or when you screw up your angle of attack. Some picks will slide or slip out from between your fingers under those circumstances. These don't. The hole seems to improve aerodynamics: they frisbee pretty darn good.
ProsStable between your fingers
ConsBetter aerodynamics.

Better for Small Fingers
I have fairly large fingers and found I had to squeeze the pick hard in order to take advantage of the grip provided by the hole. Players in my group with smaller fingers love them however, so they will not go to waste.
ProsGood design; sound concept for improved grip
ConsNeed to have smaller fingers for this to work.

Holy Picks!
I tried these out a few years ago and have not looked back. the "star" hole in the pick makes gripping a breeze. I personally use the .50 pick. its a great match with the strings I purchacesed here on strings n beyond. one stop shopping.. and I especially like the specials they have...
Proslong lasting easy grip

good idea that could have been even better
they feel almost exactly like the classic dunlop picks, but i feel the hole should be little lower with the way i play... but maybe its only an issue for me

Creative design, great grip!
These picks feature an awesome new design from the guys at Everly, which should be checked out by anyone not happy with their pick-grips! I got the Green .88 version, and at first I must say that I was a bit sceptical about this new design. Upon arrival, however, it became evident that the star-hole is more than just a sales-gimmick, it works great! The pick I got feels just like a Dunlop .88 pick other than the star-hole, so it's going to feel familiar to anyone acquainted with those. For my personal taste, however, I feel that the hole could have been just a tad bigger (I have big hands!). All in all its a great pick to check out, and a lot of fun!
ProsGreat grip, they're fun to try out!
ConsI wish the hole had been a bit bigger.

A better mousetrap
Whatever I have in my hands is soon on the floor. In the case of picks, add inside the box. I have tried everything from duct tape to Gorilla Snot, and still the picks fly once they have deposited some gunk on my strings. I can't say these picks will solve everybody's problem, but they sure are easier for me to hang onto. It's a simple idea - the finger and thumb touch through the serrated hole, preventing rotation as well as release. To have a choice of 6 weights is the icing. I have played my Guild F212 for 47 years, and have never found a better pick.
ProsThe design makes them easy to hang on to without sacrificing performance.
ConsIt took so long for me to find them

Everly Star Pick
I have a pick dropping thing. I've tried every grip gimmick pick out there. I always liked the sound and feel of the tortex picks the best. These picks are one louder. I don't drop them (as much).
