More durable plains
I have tried these high carbon singles on various acoustic instruments over the last couple of years. Although I cannot hear any sound difference between high carbon and normal plains when new, I do find that the high carbons have longevity of sound over 1-2 months of hard playing. I see no difference in corrosion, which I initially though may be an issue, but I always wipe down my strings after playing.
