Augustine: Tradition, Innovation, Excellence
Since 1946, the Augustine name has been synonymous with the classical guitar. It was the innovative mind of Albert Augustine, coupled with the unparalleled artistry of Andrs Segovia that resulted in the first ever commercially produced nylon strings for classical guitar. For their longevity, consistency, clear tone, and reliable pitch, nylon strings all but rendered traditional gut strings obsolete. Augustine Strings became the standard by which all other classical strings were measured.
Augustine is proud to introduce Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings to their product line.
