Elixir Strings deliver the tone and feel banjo players demand. All our banjo strings have loop ends, and the brilliant tone of the nickel-wrapped wound string perfectly complements the plain steels.
Every time you play your banjo, tiny bits of you are left to invade the windings to contaminate your strings and kill your tone. Elixir Strings are the only strings that keep dirt out of the windings by coating the entire string. And thanks to a patented POLYWEB Coating, they retain their tone longer than any other string, uncoated or coated, according to players. This means you buy fewer sets of strings, change them less often and trust your banjo is ready to go whenever you are.
Elixir 11600 Polyweb Banjo Strings Light .009 - .020
Elixir 11650 PolyWeb Banjo Strings Medium .010 - .023 More and more guitarists are choosing Elixir coated guitar strings. The PolyWeb coating feels comfortably smooth and reduces finger squeak while delivering a balanced tone and smooth response. Elixir strings retain their bright tone 3 to 5 times longer than normal strings. The coating protects the winding from the elements that can make your strings go dead so you don't have replace your strings as often as uncoated strings. Elixir Strings are only available for shipment to addresses in the United States, Canada, U.S. Territories & Possessions, and APO FPO destinations. To contact Elixir about this policy, click here
Overall Rating for Elixir Polyweb Coated Banjo Strings - Loop End
|(based on 1 review)| I bought one set of Elixir Polyweb medium banjo strings just as a test and put them on my Stelling banjo 8 months ago. I'm a professional musician and although I only play the banjo about 10% of the time at my gigs, I'm truly amazed at how long they have survived while retaining almost all of their original tone. I haven't broken a string yet and I've been practicing and teaching a lot. For me, they are well worth the extra money.
