Rich tone should last as long as the inspiration does.

Martin SP Lifespan strings are the next level in studio performance. Treated for long life, they repel dirt, grit and other environmental elements that can quickly alter the sound of your strings. The treatment is so incredibly thin, you won't even know it's there. SP Lifespans are designed to last longer and sound better so you can play on!

Martin SP Lifespan Extra Light 12 String 10-47 Phosphor Bronze (41MSP7600)

Since both plain and wound strings are treated with proprietary technology, the new Martin SP Lifespan 12 string set will deliver a balanced sound that is sure to please.

Extra Light (MSP7600): 10, 14, 23, 30, 39, 47, 10, 14, 10, 12, 18, 27

Martin & Co. designs and manufactures the strings themselves. Like their guitars, each string is made with patience, care, and precision with only the highest quality materials producing strings with exacting tone and superior performance. Not only are their packaging materials minimized and 100% recyclable, but the envelopes reduce the tarnishing effect on the strings.

Great tone and long life
Compared to elixir these last a bit less, but they've got a much better tone and feel imo.

Good Sound and Feel
These strings are perfect for '64 Guild f212. The coating does not have the plastic-like feel of elixir strings. Having said that, it will be interesting to see if they last as long as the elixirs.
ProsThey feel more like uncoated strings than do other brands.

Very nice tone, good value
I bought these on sale to try them out. They exceeded my expectations on my Guild D212, providing well balanced and clear tone, and lasting a long time. Even at the regular price, I consider these to be high quality, high performing strings at a value price for 12 string guitars.

The problem with string reviews is that we all have a unique set of conditions under which we play and vastly differing expectations of the strings we use. This is where my head's at. If you can't relate to it, congratulations - you are the first done reading. The rest of you please bear with me, for I tend to wander.
I have been prospecting for the perfect strings for my Guild F212 since I bought her in 1965. Although I have done some recording, and I play for pay every now and so often (OK, call it beg), I pick and grin for family, friends, and - mostly - myself. On average, that amounts to an hour or two daily.
No matter how much or how little time I put in, without fail I wipe down my strings with untreated microfiber cloth. In return I expect excellent tone and clarity and reasonable stability when I put them on. From then on the degradation in clarity must be slow enough to avoid my detection for at least several weeks. Finally, I wish that I could pick up my guitar and play with only a couple of tweaks.
Coated strings for me (Elixir included) never met my criteria out of the box. There are literally dozens of good strings, as well as a few extraordinary ones (Thomastik-Infeld, for example) that perform extremely well for a day or two (perfect for pros, not for me). Cleartones were promising, but they lacked the tone I wanted. Then I stumbled upon Martin's SP Lifespan. They were on sale so I bought three sets.
Martins always sound great on this box and the marriage of Cleartone technology and Martin sound gave me high expectations. Short and sweet, I am writing this because that first set has been on for two months and I am only now thinking of changing them. Remarkably, they still hold tune from day to day and with a little heavier picking they sound OK.
With two more sets to go I can't explain why I have stretched it out this long. Probably it's just low expectations, but I failed to realize that after a month these were virtually new strings. If I can put them on just 12 times a year, have them sound this good, and save me money to boot? No contest, from where I pick.
