nice harmonics from the bass strings
i've been buying various brands of classical strings to see if i could notice any difference, i play folk and jazz on classical guitars, mostly there isn't much difference with the strings i have tried, and they all suffer from the frets wearing through the windings, some brands wear through to the core while they are still stretching! the D string is the first to suffer, so i sometimes reverse the string to get a bit more life from the set. but i noticed that these martins have a bright harmonic series in the basses,at first i just put it down to new strings sounding better than the old worn out ones. but no,its the strings, i did some comparisons with some other sets and found these martins have a very good projection from the basses due to the harmonics in the strings, they give my cedar top esteve more of a spruce top sound, one thing to remember is that nylon strings sound best when they have stretched, and that takes about 2 days on most sets i have tried, these strings are good, so i will stick with them.
Prosgood value , strong bass harmonics
Consthe frets will wear through the windings as all nylon strings do..
