Item Description

OnBoard Research, inventors of the clip-on headstock tuner, now bring you a unique new premium-quality chromatic tuner as a follow-on to their award-winning PT10 Mini Tuner. While Intellitouch Tuners have always been known for their tuning precision, now an extra dimension has been added with a precision digital clock incorporated into the new PT10C Tuner. This feature allows a musician to discreetly check the time during a gig or lesson. The Intellitouch PT10C Clock Tuner ignores background noise - it feels the instrument's vibration instead of using sound. It is designed to clip on electric and acoustic guitars, basses, violins, banjos, mandolins and more!

Great tuner

I bought this tuner for my daughter to use on her guitar, my sister to use on her violin and my buddy to use with his 12 string. I've used it with my 5 string bass for years and I love it.
  • compact size, low battery drain, bright color display
  • Only minor drawback is a somewhat slow response to the low B string.

I own several of these and use them on all of my acoustics. It even works great on my electrics though I usually use a TU-2 on the pedalboard for those. What I like about this item is it's small size which allows it to twist and hide behind the clamp and headstock, out of view, while playing. It's a pet peeve of mine to see players using these giant, weird looking, off-shoot tuners sticking out off the guitar like a tree branch. The PT10 has a good, bright face readout and has a decent, long life with the common, easy to find #2016 flat round battery.
  • Small, un-intrusive, accurate, bright, easy to read, sturdy
  • none

I bit the bullet an bought the Peterson StroboClip after being frustrated with every other clip-on tuner out there, including this one.

Because there is so much variation in the pitch even when this tuner says the string us in tune, you end up with chords that sound downright awful. This tuner cannot even be trusted as a reference for employing your own tuning method.

I stick with the Peterson because, combined with high gear ratio tuners, I can dial things in about as perfectly as my ears can hear.
