Item Description
The Hohner Pro Harp has the nice feature of having replaceable reed plates. People who have nickel allergies, or lips that get "rashy" when playing normal nickel plated harmonicas, prefer this model because it's finished in a thick, black protective coating
Please email, call or chat with us if you are looking for the C#, F# or G# as we may have it in stock, just not listed above.

Plus, Minus, Interesting: Good harp

I have one in the key of E,
Comparing it to the Hohner Marine Band & Big River, Lee Oskar that I have in C,G,D,A
The black plate finish with gold trim and a plastic comb,
it is fairly easy to play, doesn't carry the "breathy" flow of the Big River for heavy honking.
The black finish is stylistically great and when playing a lot the taste isn't metallic and it won't glue to your lips like the chrome models. Plastic comb means no woody taste. A little less expensive than some others but the price difference shouldn't be the sway..
Of the Hohner harps this is the most livable. I still give Lee Oskar a higher preference for performance and features but there are just times when I love the look and feel of this. It is my favourite Hohner model.
To each their own and if serious I would say collect a few different harps in different keys to find which one suits and then complete your set based on what you like best. Harps do wear out.

ProsLooks, feel, taste (or lack thereof.)
ConsCan't easily see the key or orientation markings in the dark, doesn't have the easy breathing volume of the Hohner Marine Band or Lee Oskar
