Gibson Humbucker Special Alloy Wound Electric Guitar Strings
The company that invented the humbucking pickup has now invented the Humbucker string – the only guitar strings optimized for humbuckers. Gibson Humbucker Strings utilize a new composite core wire and a custom formulated wrap wire made of special alloy containing a high iron content. More iron means increased magnetic interaction between the string and the pickup. From the player’s perspective, this mean more clarity and power from any pickup – especially humbuckers. You get more of what you play. Humbucker strings deliver a distinct, clear rendering of power chords and individual note definition during lead breaks, even when layered through gobs of heavy distortion. The special alloy also produces a tight, focused sound through all types of rack effects, including chorus, flange, echo and delay. They’re musical, no matter what style of music you play. Gibson engineers also made the strings feel nice and smooth, too, so they won’t eat up frets like conventional stainless steel strings.
