Consistent quality and sonic integrity
I've used many different brands in over 40 years of studio and touring work. I settled on Original 150Rs because they are consistently well made and reliable. I need strings I can count upon to sound the same set to set, and these accomplish that. I don't want surprises, I need quality and consistency to be in every set I put on my guitars (which are mostly Fenders and Gibsons of various stripes). Whether in studio or out on tour, I can't have strings failing and sounding flat right out of the box, because I change strings frequently and they have to work. These work.
I also teach music. I recommend Fender 150Rs to every electric guitar student. And they find them quite satisfactory, too.
ProsConsistent quality set to set
Consistent sonic character set to sest
ConsThe string colour coding could be better.
The new packaging is a pain. Is it really more eco-friendly if the strings are not individually housed in their own sleeve?
