Item Description
The Elixir mandolin strings get the same ultra-thin Nanoweb coating that makes Elixir's guitar strings a long-lasting favorite. The patented Nanoweb coating keeps contaminants from your fingers from getting into the windings of the string where they cause corrosion that kills the tone. Elixir coats the entire string with this treatment to preserve the string's bright, lively tone for three to five times as long as normal strings. This longer life means you'll buy fewer strings and spend less time changing them and more time playing.
All Elixir mandolin strings feature looped ends and are wound in 80/20 bronze for unsurpassed definition and sustain. These strings are available in both a light and medium loop end. Strings and Beyond also carries Elixir guitar and banjo strings.
Due to Elixir policy, these strings are only available for shipment to addresses in the United States, U.S. territories and possessions, Canada, and APO FPO destinations.

As for me, I'd rather pay a bit more in pocket change to a company like Strings and Beyond than to pinch pennies and buy from Amazon, a faceless mega-corporation that doesn't give a hoot about me, just their bottom line.
