Item Description

Every time you play your guitar, microscopic particles of your skin and body oils stay on the strings and decay their lifespan. This process also negatively affects the windings and eventually robs you of your tone. With Elixir NanoWeb Light Acoustic Guitar Strings, you won’t need to worry about that any more. Elixir Strings are the only kinds of strings that keep dirt and oils out of the windings because the entire string is coated with an ultra-thin NanoWeb. This provides the lively and bright tone that lasts three to five times longer than any other coated or uncoated string. This means that you won’t need to change them as often. The coating is also thin enough that it is hardly noticeable, which gives them the same feel and sound of traditional guitar strings but with the added benefits of the coating.

Voted America’s #1 acoustic guitar string, Elixir will give you the stability and longevity in your tone that many renowned artists depend on as well. Order your Elixir NanoWeb Light Acoustic Guitar Strings from Strings and Beyond today.

I have to admit on my Gibson Songwriter these sound very good. Very balanced from low to high. Seem to stay in tune well.
Pros:
balanced tone stay in tune keep their tone for a long period of time
Cons:
a bit pricey feel somewhat slippery to the touch

Almost perfect

I've used every gauge and type. These are best on "Taylor" guitars and boomy Dreads. Not to slippery but better than Polyweb. They could be just a tad less slippery to be perfect. Custom lights or lights... the best.

Very bright and super long life
December 9, 2014
These do last as long as advertised, compared to regular, uncoated strings. Even more than some brands I've tried. They are very bright sounding with a lot of richness in upper harmonics. They can liven up a warm or dull guitar, but it can be too much on a bright guitar. I find them excellent on my all-mahogany taylor, but too shrill on my cort dread. I recommend them but only on a right guitar. Phosphor bronze are slightly warmer in comparison, so they may work better on a bright guitar.
Pros:
long life,brightness
Cons:
brightness

these last...and last

maybe its my chemistry, but no other coated string lasts this long. I like the bluegrass gauge best. My only gripe is that they do feel strangely slick, but a lot of folks like that about 'em.

great strings
July 3, 2014
i've been using elixir strings on my acoustics for years. they're easy to find, super reliable, and sound and feel great. i like 80/20 on jumbos and phosphor for everything else.
Pros:
great sound great feel reliable easy to find
Cons:
pricier than uncoated strings BUT on par with coated strings they flake a little - not bad though like the polyweb can if you let them go too long
