Gibson Humbucker Strings utilize a new composite core wire and a custom formulated wrap wire made of special alloy containing a high iron content. More iron means increased magnetic interaction between the string and the pickup. From the player’s perspective, this mean more clarity and power from any pickup – especially humbuckers.
